Based near Farnham our Client owns a thriving traditional English Family Pub which prides itself on the delivery of delicious homemade food across its comprehensive menu. In support we are looking to recruit a Sous Chef to assist, and at times lead, the Kitchen Team with the timely delivery of fresh prepared Hot and Cold food. Ideally you will be looking to take up the post as a “Live In” Sous Chef, and be readily able to work flexibly 5 over 7 days around a 40 hour week. The principle role of this positon will involve:- Actively working with the Kitchen Team to maintain the highest of standards for both the preparation and delivery of food Covering for the Head Chef and his associated duties on an as needs basis Working split shifts 5 / 7 days so as to assist with the smooth running of the day to day operations Actively managing Costs, Portion Controls and Wastage Actively helping to maintain current Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards Subject to experience, and the clients preferred option to go “Live In”, the positon will pay between £17,000 and £22,000 per annum, that is, based on flexible working 5/7 days around a 40 hour week. Required experience: Proven Sous Chef experience Able to manage all kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef Knowledge of Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards Knowledge of effective menu costings, portion and wastage control: Proven experience of working with a Kitchen Team to maintain the highest of food standards This job was originally posted as
