Working Hours: Monday – Friday for 2 weeks days 07:00 to 16:00 then Monday - Friday for 2 weeks evenings 14:00 to 23:00 rotating. Main Purpose of Job: To ensure all products produced meet the customer’s requirements through the application of continuous improvement methodologies, quality control techniques and training. To be a key team player working as part of the quality / production team responsible for the performance of the production quality support team in the support of the manufacturing / operations team. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of current health and safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974) To reduce the cost of scrap through the processing and analysis of daily production scrap by the use of scrap reason codes, training and process control. To ensure that all quality documentation is up to date and prepared for production prior to any tool changeovers or sub processes changes. To manage fixtures and jigging that are required for cooling or assembly in respect of availability, fit, function and condition. As the voice of the customer in production ensuring that their requirements are applied during production through the management and application of master samples, testing and measurement, and reviewing of the collected process capability data. To work in support of the production team facilitating and helping with the training and understanding of the requirements of the product being produced. (cooling, trimming, handling, packaging, Etc) To supervise the production quality support team ensuring the performance of their roles and the resolution of escalated production issues. General Duties: Ensure Health & Safety regulations and the company‘s Instructions and policies are adhered to. Set example of company image with high standards of personal appearance and efficiency in attendance and timekeeping, and when visiting and dealing with customers and suppliers. To perform all other reasonable duties as and when required by the Management Team. Goals and Objectives: To reduce the cost of quality thus meeting our customer’s expectations and improving the performance of the business and measured through: - Scrap Reduction - Right First Time - Production OEE (losses to quality) - Customer Returns - Rework Health & Safety: · Understand & carry out individual responsibility. · Notify immediately, any accidents, near misses or hazards and assist in any investigation, · Use and maintain in good condition, protective equipment provided for personal safety. · Keep work area clean & tidy and free from obstructions at all times. Communication: · Take part in briefing sessions as and when required. · Highlighting any information, concerns or problems, which may affect your personal, team or site performance? Development: · If required by the company, introduce new employees into the operation training them as required. · Through the appraisal process, identify areas of personal and team development required. · Develop through continuous performance improvements, customer service and operational efficiencies.
