FLT Field Service Technician / Motor Engineer Wisbech £Attractive (dependent on experience) plus company vehicle & overtime An experienced Fork Lift Truck mechanic is required to join one of Europe's longest established fork lift truck dealerships. Working mainly at client sites, within the Norwich area, your role will be interested and varied. Along with the ongoing requirement for servicing and preventative maintenance work, of both mechanical and electrical vehicles, there will be the requirement to carry out diagnosis and subsequent repair work to both clients and the company's own equipment. Specific duties will be as follows: Servicing and preventative maintenance of customer forklift truck equipment ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised Attend breakdowns and perform mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis carrying out subsequent repairs in a time and cost efficient manner Provide the customer and company with clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status submitting any recommendations as appropriate Develop and maintain client relationships ensuring the highest levels of customer service is achieved Liaison with the parts department to ensure appropriate stock levels are held on the company vehicle. Completion of documentation to company standards Adhering to Health & Safety requirements at all time. As an experienced service engineer or motor technician you will have gained experience from within the motor trade, agricultural engineering or from a competitor forklift truck dealership. Training will be provided as necessary to transfer your skills to enable you to work on a variety of forklift truck technologies. You will however need the following skills and experience: In-depth mechanical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills A motor trade, agricultural engineering or FLT engineering background Experience of hydraulics and electrical equipment an advantage however factory training will be provided as required Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise in a clear and concise way A professional and confident personality with the ability to liaise with people from all walks of life Able to plan and prioritise workload A flexible and helpful attitude to work A full driving licence The successful candidate can expect an attractive salary plus overtime as the role requires.
