Overview of the Role: Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Sales Administrator has the responsibility for preparing & issuing of product specific sales quotation to the customer. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Receive and log pre-sales enquiries. Liaise and discuss pre-sales enquiry requirements with Business Development Manager & Technical department when necessary. Liaise with procurement department regarding material requirements for orders. Liaise with production personnel regarding production capacity and time-frames. Inform customers of quoted pricing and delivery times. Solve queries regarding potential orders, with support from engineering, production and procurement departments. Begin the sales process by checking purchase orders against quotations; ensuring all relevant information is complete and accurate before the quote moves to post-sales. Ensure a timely response to quotations, ensuring quotations are prepared and submitted within company generated guidelines and targets. Contribute toward the improvement of company standards, practices and procedures. This role description shall not exclude tasks necessary or incidental to the Employee’s position that may be assigned by the Employer from time to time. Skills & Experience Required: Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar customer service facing role is required, preferably within an engineering/manufacturing organisation. Must have experience in enquiry management and quotation preparation. Effective communicator; able to communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and peers at all levels. Able to take ownership of immediate work related problems, using own initiative to make decisions and problem solve utilizing tools and resources available. All round team player, able to offer support and communicate well both within and outside the department. Self-motivated, be able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines. Attention to detail; be able to work with figures and calculations accurately. Excellent PC/Keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent organization and time-management skills.
