The Operations Shift Manager will manage service levels to a high standard and in a cost effective manner, providing industry leading results for TNT's customers. The successful candidate will be results and target orientated, self motivated and have the ability to prioritise a busy workload. As a proven leader, the Operations Shift Manager will be innovative, forward thinking, and have an ability to work under pressure in a time critical environment. They must be able to instil confidence in the team and have presence within the operation. As an Operations Shift Manager the successful candidate will be required to: Assist and support the Operations Manager with ensuring the Hub performs efficiently and effectively - providing a high quality, cost effective service for TNT customers Ensure the effective performance of the Operation in line with Hub targets Maintain the Hub delivered on time performance at agreed KPI levels for the hub Ensure that all Operational Team Members display high levels of internal and external customer care Ensure the adequate communication of information to all members of staff Ensure that all HASAWA Legislation/Security Procedures are adhered to and that good housekeeping is maintained Carry out any other relevant duties as requested by the Line Manager to ensure the effective performance of the Hub Operation. You will be expected to possess effective written and verbal communication skills, people management skills and an ability and desire to motivate, develop and lead a team. Candidates must possess previous experience in an operational express parcel industry; have a proven track record of driving efficiencies as well as leading and implementing strategic change.
