Title: Transport Coordinator Hours: Full Time - (Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm) Salary: £18,000pa Location: Banbury Our client is a very successful distributor of household products who is looking to hire a Transport Coordinator into their busy logistics team. The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate all the transport activities and ensure all administration and process are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities: Receive Central, Export and HSD orders into transport office Call customers to arrange a delivery slots Complete Delivery details on a Picking Sheet - Date, Time & Booking Ref Completing booking in forms for relevant Customers sending via Email Arrange delivery via Customer Websites Negotiating Dates and Times with Customers Cancel and re-schedule bookings Enter information onto the delivery Schedule Calculate and maintain economical costs when Haulier rates increase Check that all POD's have been returned Request Credit where applicable Confirming Sales Orders in Sage Add Uplift or DGN to drivers packs where necessary Enter all driver discrepancies on the drivers log Run reports Liaising between Internal Departments and between Haulier's, Drivers and Subcontractors Resolve Customer queries as to chasing deliveries or chasing bookings Skills & Experience: Experience gained within a logistics or transport based role Strong IT Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook and SAGE High level of accuracy and attention to detail Good organisational and administration skills Due to location a driving license and own transport is essential.
