We are now recruiting a Quality Inspector/Developer to join our team based in Hull to manage the product quality controlto ensure finished products meets the quality requirements and follow the product performance with customers. The successful candidate will also monitor compliance to procedures throughout all manufacturing processes and control quality of finished products entering the warehouse. In addition support manufacturing to develop and improve systems, procedures and overall plant performance. Responsibilities: As Quality Inspector, responsibilities will include: · Ensure that proper quality control procedures, instructions, measures and processes are in place for all inbound components, manufacturing processes and finished goods. · Undertake agreed audits checks of products passing through final process to warehouse to ensure compliance with quality standards. Data on operator performance and any issues identified must be stored and cascaded to process leaders for actioning. · Liaise with the Production and R&D departments to overcome any problems related to the finished product. · Manage the assessment/compliance of technology changes/model modifications. · Manage inbound inspections compliance · Review and implement quality improvement plans. · Manage calibration procedures for tooling, jigs and records. · Monitor ‘Key’ operational processes, disciplines & procedures · Creating, communicating and maintaining specification data within all processes to provide reference points for all operatives to follow. · Liaise with ISO Co-ordinator for continued on site updates, audits and compliance to standard. · Ensure that all new products have gone through quality checks in a production environment and identify improvements with engineering and operations where appropriate. · Assist in the sign off and testing of new products Key skills and attributes: Ideally we are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes and experience · Qualified to HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline or demonstrable experience in QA · Quality Assurance/ISO 9000 experience/training would be advantageous · Demonstrable improvement project work needed, not just a certificate (training project work during study acceptable). · Computer Literate and Self-Starter · Ability to problem solve/logical thinker This role operates on shift system 6am-2pm, 2pm-12am This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66761426
