Hydraulic Tail Lift Engineer - Mobile Engineering - SW London, West Sussex, Gatwick, Brighton Excellent earning potential with premium overtime and a realistic 10 hours per week available Purpose of Role: To install, maintain and repair vehicle tail lift/moving floors and associated equipment, in line with manufacturers published guidance. Adhering to company policies and safe working practices for self and others, at all times. Key Responsibilities: Installation, servicing and repair of vehicle tail lifts/moving floors, limiting costs of stock used on contract accounts and maximising revenue generation in all areas. Optimise and maintain engineer van stocks to maintain and enhance service delivery to customers. Ensure relevant safety checks are carried out on the company van on a daily basis. Maintain product and customer requirements knowledge to meet ISO9002 standards at all times. Undertaking compulsory company training and self-development through the engineer skills matrix training process. To liaise with central control and/or the service centre with regard to job start and completion times, downtime and overtime authorisation; cost updates and customer purchase orders. Complete all relevant paperwork and on-line (mobile mechanic) requirements enabling central control and invoicing to maintain a high standard of customer interface, keeping the customer informed. Provide technical help to customers and other personnel as required. Provide technical training for people and customers, as appropriate. Assist with planning of tail lift installations and undertake installations and commissioning if/when required. Perform other duties and projects which correspond to the general character of the position. Ensure adherence to company procedures in line with company policies, Health & safety procedures and ISO9002 standards. Apprentices and or engineers in training (EIT) may be supervised where applicable.
