This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Buying Team within a thriving company based on the outskirts of Plymouth, they are looking for an Assistant Buying Manager with excellent communication skills and a background in a business to business customer focused environment. Your duties in this role will include engaging with suppliers, negotiating competitive rates and terms with them. You will be required to assist the Buying Manager in tendering new supplier options and in the management of existing accounts. You will also be required to be involved with Event Organisation from arranging the event to liaising with clients and customers and ensuring the correspondence for the event is accurate. You will, manage the event logistics and ensure the end-to-end process delivers a quality experience for all involved. Your role also involves preparing, dispatching and tracking contract information, including supplier framework agreements. You need to effectively communicate with suppliers and clients by telephone and email. If you have a second language this would be ideal. The key attributes our client is seeking are as follows… Able to work under pressure Excellent organisational / administration skills Good attention to detail Compliance to client SLA's Purchasing / Buying Experience Negotiations experience Procurement Knowledge German Speaking - preferable Take ownership of day to day issues and find solutions.
