Resourcing Partnership Title: Technical Quality Co-ordinator Location: South Wales Type: Permanent Reference: 883100 Overview: To ensure that the core technical systems and services employed across all sites are fully implemented and maintained to meet the most up to date standards set internally, by external bodies, customers and regulatory authorities. This will be driven by HACCP, best practice and relevant codes of practice The Position: To maintain and improve the supplier approval system To maintain raw materials specifications, ensuring that Customer, CPF and Legal requirements are achieved and maintained. To understand and apply relevant standards (Legal, HACCP, Microbiology, CPF) for raw materials and implement a risk based testing (internal and external) regime to ensure food safety, quality and legal compliance To coordinate, schedule and drive all raw material testing (micro, chemical, physical) across the sites. To ensure site labs and procedures are fit for purpose To assist in the maintenance of the HACCP systems To maintain and approve service providers to CPF (e.g. laundry, labs, chemical supply) Understand and apply relevant customer, CPF and legal standards to all issues relating to packaging suppliers/intake. Responsible for the evaluation of risk prior to the introduction of new raw materials and packaging, (through HACCP) To maintain the VACCP system To manage the internal auditing and take part in the internal auditing of the sites quality management system Deal with supplier complaints/non-conformances ensuring remedial action is carried out Manage effective communications with internal and external suppliers and production teams to ensure the Technical needs of the business are met. Assist in the auditing of new and current suppliers Ensure raw materials meet claims on final pack To assist during site visits and audits (e.g. customers, 3 rd parties, or local authorities). To maintain the calibration schedule(s) based on risk and ensure calibration activities occur in a timely manner. To develop and maintain a final product testing schedule to verify claims and food safety and ensure quality is maintained To assist the technical manager in any other reasonable request To be responsible for your own personal Health and Safety and the H&S of others on site The Person: Relevant experience in raw materials and supplier approval or other core technical systems A good working knowledge of HACCP and quality management systems Good leadership and communication skills Good IT and computer skills, especially spreadsheets HND or degree in a food science related subject Experience with working across disciplines Experience with customers or customer relations Food experience Experience of busy production/manufacturing environments Our Referral Incentive: Due to the high amount of interest that we receive for each of our roles unfortunately we cannot respond to each application individually, therefore if you do not hear back from us you have not been shortlisted for this role.
