Iconic Geotechnical Engineering consultancy with one of the most well respected portfolio boasting some of the UK's most prestigious Projects are looking to appoint an established Chartered or seeking Chartered Geotechnical engineer to join their team in Bristol. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the UKs most well known schemes and renovations crossing several sectors including the HS2 (tunnelling, rail), National Rail, Flood risk Environmental agency and major Highways. My client has a well established Geotechnical/Environmental office in the Bristol area providing Geotechnical, Environmental, Civil Engineering and sustainability consultancy services to major clients UK Wide and internationally. You will be taking charge of a large Geotechnical team which is included within a very established GeoEnvironmental/Technical office. I am currently looking to speak to a Senior Geotechnical engineer 3 years experience in providing details Geotechnical foundation design ideally within the Rail, Highway, flood risk and Utilities sector who would be interested in working for one of the worlds most respected consultancies. Job specification Proactively managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, managing subcontractors and sub-consultants and quality assurance, Directing and working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design Providing both leadership and technical support and advice to project team members Managing the production of analysis and design and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which you have responsibility, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies Managing all commercial aspects (contract, invoicing, debt management, client management etc) relating to projects for which you have responsibility to ensure a successful outcome. Liaising with the Project Director or Manager and the client to keep informed of all developments associated with the projects. Minimum Requirements MEng in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical bias MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or related subject is desirable Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE) Ideally or seeking Proven experience on large multi-disciplinary projects preferably in the UK Detailed geotechnical design experience including foundations, retaining walls and slope stability assessments Experience in earthworks design, specification and implementation Experience in ground investigation design and implementation Experience in the use of routine geotechnical design programs such as VDISP, WALLAP, SLIDE and SlopeW & PLAXIS would be a distinct advantage If you require anymore information on this role or roles similar, do not hesitate to contact Cory on 0161 660 2360 Calibre Search promotes equality in the workplace and acts as both an employment agency and employment business.
