UNIVERSITY OF SURREY Business Support Services Senior Business Analyst £39,324 to £46,924 per annum Permanent, Full-time Location: Guildford Ref: 071616 The Opportunity A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join the University’s Business Analysis Unit, which is in the early stages of strategic development. The team will play a significant role in the management of change and the development of IT solutions by delivering technically rigorous analysis that aligns with business processes and organisational objectives. The role would suit a driven individual with well-rounded business analysis experience, who wants to make their mark on the team. The Role Develop an understanding of the University’s business and technical strategies to ensure analysis work aligns. Formulate, scale, and complete end-to-end business analysis, utilising multiple methods and tools, to understand business needs and produce a full range of analysis deliverables. Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. Provide regular, comprehensive progress reports and updates. Provide consultancy to business users and technical colleagues on the feasibility of proposed solutions, approaches, or technical changes. Deliver effective presentations with findings and recommendation to multiple stakeholders. What we need from you Computer Science degree, other technical field, or equivalent. Professional business analysis qualification, such as an ISEB Business Analysis, or equivalent. Significant experience in a business analysis role. Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, business judgement and communication skills. Experience working on a variety of business analysis assignments. Ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
