I have an exciting new vacancy for a Compliance Manager to work for our client , A major multi-disciplined railway contractor for various projects in North West England. Key responsibilities : · Assisting with the development and maintenance of Competence/Compliance standards. · Completing internal audits · Providing support and training to business units · Complete investigations with regard to Compliance issues for operatives · Sentinel Co-ordinator · Accreditations: Lead HSQE accreditation audits such as ISO9001; ISO 14001, etc. with an emphasis on continuous improvement and control. · Interact with internal and external stakeholders and be the go to person for any employee with any compliance issues or queries. · Representing the Company at various meetings as necessary · Assisting with any external audits ensuring adequate preparation, training and communication within the company. · Ensure improvement actions are identified, documented, and acted upon. · Communicate the potential impacts and actions required by the Company to ensure compliance. · Train and develop direct reports. · Provide training, guidance and expertise to others in maintaining compliance standards. · Manage compliance projects as and when requested · Deputise for the Head of Compliance at senior management meetings · Report and produce monthly reports and present to the Head of Compliance Key Skills : · Experience working to regulatory and conformance requirements · Experience of working to ISO9001 and ISO 14001 · Must be prepared to present training material, presentations and participate in external industry meetings if required. · Good PC literacy skills are required: Emailing, Excel and Word. An aptitude towards documentation document writing. Good communication skills both written and verbal. · Auditing experience · Self-motivated and disciplined · Exceptional communication skills · Articulate with a professional approach to compliance · Experienced Manager, able to develop, train, and coach. · Ability to evaluate issues from a regulatory perspective with a practical, business-oriented, common sense approach to complex problem solving · Previously implemented and developed Quality Management Systems This job was originally posted as
