Job Title: Publications Manager and Editor (Maternity cover) Location: Wimborne, Dorset Type of contract: Full-time, temporary contract, (minimum of 9 months). Will also consider part-time applicants. Salary: DOE Our Wimborne based client is currently recruiting for a highly creative and talented Publications Manager and Editor. You will lead the editorial team within their friendly and hard-working Marketing department. About you and the role As Publications Manager and Editor, it will be your job to create, oversee and develop the editorial content that the Marketing team produces. You will be responsible for managing the Editorial team and providing creative content for a range of platforms and audiences. Working closely with the Marketing department's Design team, you'll develop and deliver a monthly magazine, bi-monthly consumer booklet, bi-monthly trade catalogue, annual UK and international core catalogues and related digital content. The role of Publications Manager and Editor is varied and fun. It'll involve - but is not limited to - the following duties: Overseeing, producing and signing off all editorial content for the Marketing team. This includes: a monthly 100-page magazine and its polybag, bi-monthly trade catalogue, bi-monthly consumer booklet, core catalogue (UK and international editions), project sheets, trade and consumer email newsletters and web content, social media strategies and so on. Generating unique, innovative and on-trend ideas for the projects that use a wide range of company's products. You'll also be responsible for approving every project produced for the company's literature. Liaising with printers, both UK and overseas, to obtain suitable and competitive quotes for every piece of literature that the Marketing department produces (from business cards through to the monthly magazine). Working with the rest of the Marketing Editorial team to ensure a realistic multi-project production schedule is set up and followed. This also means being flexible enough to deal with any potential issues and direct the team accordingly.
