Opportunity The successful candidate will be a seasoned Oracle Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. In this role you will work in a customer facing role and will be able to demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude with a ‘can do’ approach. In addition, you will have the opportunity to help build out the Oracle PMO practice Responsibilities A Hitachi ConsultingProject Manager has responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned projects with a wide scope of delivery which encompasses project planning, financial tracking and reporting, project resourcing, deliverable management and delivery process integration. The main areas of responsibility are: Managing the implementation of complex enterprise scale Oracle package implementations, maintaining the overall project plan, prioritising tasks and assigning resources, in liaison with the Solution Manager Leading the full project lifecycle including transition into support; Financial management of projects to deliver agreed profitability including consolidating cost and revenue reporting and management of Change Controls Leading teams consisting of Hitachi ConsultingConsultants in the UK and offshore resources and management of third party dependencies; Reviewing and identifying resourcing requirements and liaising with practice management to ensure resources are available Managing risk, protecting against scope creep through change control and taking accountability for the commercial relationship with customer. Lead and assist in the development of new propositions and business development; Involvement in pre-sales activities; giving technical and delivery input to proposals, delivering presentations. Stakeholder management and ability to communicate project progress to senior level clients Ability to create Statements of Work and manage progress against such deliverables Background We hire professionals, passionate about the benefits technology can bring to business. Project Managers will typically have: · 8 years’ experience delivering full life cycle implementations. · Managed through to successful completion, at least 2 full life cycle implementations of Oracle R12 · Optionally have been involved in project management of Oracle Fusion implementation. · Proven understanding of the core EBusiness Suite modules i.e. Financials, Supply Chain, Human Resources etc. · Proven knowledge or formal accreditation and implementation experience of a suitable methodology e.g. Agile, PMP, Prince2, Lean · Able to demonstrate capability and experience, inspiring confidence with Senior Stakeholders · Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, must be a team player and able to work with and through others · Able to grasp and articulate the project vision and objectives quickly and efficiently and positively communicate this with the project team and its stakeholders. · As a team builder, the skills to be able to get the best from the team resource, which may be spread over many projects. They will be able to empathise with the team, while growing team spirit and increasing team performance. · Capable of being able to demonstrate full and detailed understanding of the project scope in terms of functionality, its finance and delivery plan · Subsequently be able to demonstrate control of the project, whilst being proactive with planning and RAID management, delivering management information as required Essential Skills: · Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent · Exposure of Stakeholder Management · Exposure of Financial Control · Exposure of Planning · Exposure of Implementing / Delivery · Exposure of managing in a matrix environment, across multiple locations · MS Projects and MS Office skills Travel Whilst Hitachi Consulting is respectful of our employees work / life balance candidates should be fully prepared to travel throughout the UK and internationally if required.
