C# ASP.Net Developer - Bristol, South West Job Purpose To develop and maintain software accurately and effectively, within required timescales, and which meets business goals and customer specifications. Person Specification Essential Using a range of web development technologies, which must include: C#, ASP.NET, Object-Oriented methodologies, HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL Server 2008 A proven track record of designing and delivering effective software solutions Software design and analysis techniques and tools Understanding of the full software development lifecycle The ability to consistently deliver solutions to meet standards of quality and time Excellent problem solving skills with an ability to think laterally Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team The determination to deliver a quality solution A commitment to continuous personal development and improvement A high level of accuracy and attention to detail The desire and ability to learn new skills quickly Flexibility, adaptability, and a tendency to question the status quo Desirable: Skills in any of the following: MVC, WCF, Web API, Unit Testing, TDD, Entity Framework, AJAX, JSON, JQuery, VB.NET, TFS, XML Main Duties and Responsibilities Analyse requirements and design effective solutions that give added value to our customers Develop software accurately and efficiently to meet specifications Devise and execute appropriate unit tests to ensure development meets quality standards Ensure successful delivery, by proactively taking ownership of projects and requirements Collaborate and communicate effectively with the development team, and other project stakeholders, to meet personal, team, and business objectives Liaise with third party providers to develop data feeds and software integrations Prioritise and organise your work effectively to meet personal, team, and business objectives Investigate, fix, and unit test bugs efficiently, to maximise the number of first-time fixes Provide accurate estimates for completion of development activities, to assist project planning Meet agreed deadlines, and communicate any impediments in good time to the Development Team Leader Liaise with the support team to investigate, categorise, and respond to Live system issues swiftly and professionally, to maximise customer satisfaction with our response Improve existing systems by proactively analysing and identifying areas for modification Investigate and keep abreast of new technologies, and develop skills to meet the changing needs of our customers Please send CVs for immediate interviews.
