.NET Developer A .NET Developer / .NET Software Developer (C#, ASP.NET) is needed to join a government body that champions and protects England's historic environment. Based from their office in Swindon (you will have the opportunity for flexible hours and to work from home) expect to work with Microsoft .NET technology on diverse projects. Utilising cutting-edge science, research and information, this innovative government body helps individuals, communities, governments and major landowners manage their historic places. With sites that include WW1 Submarines, Roman Camps, Tombs and much more besides, they champion, safeguard, advise and protect England's historic environment. Joining as the .Net Developer / .NET Software Developer (C#, ASP.NET) you will be responsible for maintaining existing systems as well as developing new bespoke applications within .NET. Whether you are liaising with departments on current and future requirements; keeping up to date with .NET technology; proving estimates of effort; ensuring all documentation is kept up to date or offering advice on achieving successful outcomes, it will be your natural inquisitiveness that ensures outstanding solutions are delivered. To qualify You should be a skilled .NET Developer / Software Developer (ASP.NET / C#) with a CV that demonstrates: Experience gained developing in .NET; Experience in ASP.NET with C# (Visual Studio / TFS); Experience developing applications using SQL server and/or Oracle databases; Strong communication skills - the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience; The ability to take ownership of your work and get things done; A passion to learn about new technologies. Some experience working with GIS or SharePoint would be beneficial but is not essential.
