They currently have vacancies for Male Support Workers in their London service, working full or part time shifts on a rota basis. Position: Male Support Workers This post is covered by The Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, Occupational Requirements. Location: London Hours: Various Full and Part-time - 20hrs or 37.5hrs per week Salary: £8.95-9.62 per hour (dependant on successful completion of probation and completing NVQ Level 2) Closing date: Sunday 23rd October 2016 Interview date: TBC About the Role: As a Support Worker / Care Worker for our client, you will enable the people they support to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal support needs. About You: Experience of working with individuals with challenging behaviour is required. Life experience and personal values are also important as well as a passion and desire to be part of the social care world. An awareness or knowledge of challenging behaviour and learning disabilities would be great, however if you have a caring nature, like being around people and can tackle issues with a positive frame of mind, then you are highly encouraged to apply today. Applicants should be keen to develop both themselves and the individuals they support to ensure full potential is achieved. You will be welcomed in to the team and coached along the way. The successful applicant requires the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other agencies, but must also be self-motivated and be passionate about promoting independence and active lifestyles. As they provide 24/7 support you need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some nights and Bank Holidays. You will also be required to accompany people they support on holidays and attend training courses and other activities.
