MB33 – Production Process Engineer Location: St Leonards Salary: £27,500 Benefits Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently searching for a Production Process Engineer for a client of ours based in Hastings who specialise in manufacturing and supplying cable management systems to various companies across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an Injection Moulding Engineer to become part of an established organisation. Duties and Responsibilities: • To provide process set-up and processing support for personnel completing PVC manufacturing and assembly operations (as applicable and as applied to the role) either within a PVC Injection Moulding or Extrusion discipline. • To review, assess and analyse process operations with a view to optimise and continuously improve the PVC manufacturing processes. Collecting, analysing and recording such data to put forward proposals for process improvement and to monitor and assess the delivery of such activity ensuring improvements are realised. • Introduce appropriate control, measurement and analysis to enable factual data-driven decision making that is inclusive of all appropriate production personnel. • To support manufacturing operations through the use of facts, data, analysis and knowledge to resolve more in- depth process-related issues. • To provide process engineering knowledge to trouble shoot and optimise current manufacturing processes. To share knowledge and “know-how”, providing support to deliver training and guidance to other personnel as directed or needed to ensure safe and efficient processing is maintained and to develop the right attitudes, skills and knowledge. • To Lead Project Teams and/or individual personnel in the delivery of improvement aims, business goals and the general achievement of Company output objectives. • To undertake any activity as directed by the Line Management and within current skill range or training to support the introduction of new activities, attitudes, skills or knowledge and/or the demonstration of professional competence. At all times during employment to devote sufficient attention to the duties and activities required by this employment and to faithfully and diligently perform such duties and powers assigned to the job holder. To promote the interests of the Company and any Group Company at all times and to undertake any tasks in support of the Company’s business objectives as a whole. Skills and Qualifications: • Has an appropriate background knowledge of (and as relevant to the role) Injection Moulding or Extrusion manufacturing operations. • Knowledge of relevant Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques, e.g. 5S, 7 Wastes, Value Stream Mapping, SMART Goals, Six Big Losses, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen. • Experience of delivering training and supporting Teams in the delivery of agreed business objectives and performance improvement.
