We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated graduate to become involved in the retail side of the business. Initially, the successful graduates would focus on developing an understanding of the business whilst also learning how to manage one of our smaller shops. As a shop manager, you would be expected to demonstrate a focus on achieving sales growth whilst also being responsible for the shops’ profitability, wage costs and overall management. As soon as you have shown the ability to manage a small unit profitably, you would be moved to a larger shop and would develop the necessary skills to manage a higher turnover unit with a greater number of staff working with you. Training would also be provided in other management areas of the business, for example; internal audit, management accounting, production etc. By the end of the two-year training scheme graduates would be in a position to effectively manage any of the larger retail units, or a number of the smaller shops.
