The successfull candidate will have expertise in vacuum deposition, established through experience of engineering pilot and production vacuum deposition equipment. With this experience will come the ability to solve complex engineering challenges, which can equally be applied to other manufacturing processes relevant to SSB manufacture, as well as PVD. Whilst technical expertise is core to this role, it is also important that the individual is a strong and skilful leader, with the ability to operate as an equal with the senior management team, collaboratively driving the program forwards though strategic thinking and objective decision making, as well as sound technical judgement. You will be; Creative - able to architect ideas from a blank sheet of paper to detailed design ? Pragmatic approach, instinctively making sound value judgments to get the required result ? Initiative - a self-starter who is able to change direction and scope, in alignment with strategic direction ? Confidence and seniority to influence senior leaders ? Excellent root cause analysis and problem solving ability ?
