Information and Data Quality Analyst £28,000 - £34,000 Leeds (not city centre) My client, a well respected and established organisation based in Leeds (not city centre) are seeking an experienced Information and Data Quality Analyst to join their growing team. The post holder will contribute to the company's strategic planning function by responding to the information needs of external stakeholders, maintaining and enhancing policies and processes with regards to information provision. The post holder will also support the development and provision of management information to internal stakeholders to support the business in understanding performance and informing the planning process. Main duties and responsibilities: Data Governance To process the accurate and timely submission of data and statistical returns to external bodies. To liaise with colleagues responsible for financial, staff and other regulatory returns to ensure that data is consistent internally as well as with practice elsewhere in the sector. To proactively support high quality data governance, ensuring risks are raised to enable appropriate action to be implemented. To liaise with colleagues to ensure that data quality is of the highest order and that best practice is shared. To support activity to improve the efficiency of external data return submission through identifying and recommending opportunities to improve the effectiveness of data collection processes. To develop and maintain a high level of understanding of the data requirements of external stakeholders, advising the Head of Planning and Information on changes and supporting the implementation of such changes. Strategic Planning To assist with analysis of external policy developments and other guidance, highlighting their implications and proposing appropriate responses. To work closely with the marketing function and others in the provision of information to support the planning process. To support Internal planning processes through analysis and scenario modelling. Management Information / Business Intelligence To support the development of high quality analysis of performance data, including the development of performance indicators. To provide a high quality and timely provision of adhoc management information and analysis to internal stakeholders, working in partnership to understand and deliver required business understanding. To support the use of external data and information across the business including the development of external bench-marking. To provide a customer focused service to support ease of access to information for Internal stakeholders, encompassing developing and improving reporting tools and providing clear communication and guidance to customers on the use of Management Information tools and interpretation of performance. Key Skills and experience; Experience of supporting decision making by providing insight and analysis, including highlighting options/issues that need to be taken into account. Experience in writing papers or reports including analytical, planning or policy documents. Experience of management information reporting tools and the analysis of large and complex data sets, using an industry recognised Management Information tool such as; SQL Server, Cognos, SAS, Business Objects, QlikView or Tableau (any others will also be considered) Experience of data organisation and management including the use of large databases.
