Trainee Purchasing Administrator Location: Wakefield Salary: £16,000 One of my well established and family owned steel manufacturers based in Wakefield is looking for an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join their busy & demanding team. This opportunity would ideally suit someone that can work autonomously, has strong analytical skills, and has some knowledge of the steel industry as an administrator. Dealing with all purchase requirements; liaising with all Raising all orders (high volume) for the business Chase any over due orders and delays – inform relevant managers within various departments Process all quotations from line managers to authorise all orders Stock reporting using Excel Progressing orders for updates on deliveries, amend any invoice queries Ideally you will be someone who is already carrying out purchasing or sales administration related activities as part of your current role or has knowledge of Steel as an administrator. Experienced with processing a high volume of orders is desired and someone that is open to learn new skills and adapt to the companies processes and procedures, whilst also implementing efficiencies if needed. This is a great purchasing entry level opportunity for someone with a proactive approach and the ability to work under sometimes high pressure and on your own initiative is a major requirement for this role, the job offers the right candidate the ability to take on more responsibility. A great starting salary is offered £16,000 - £17,000 dependant on experience with great benefits & working hours.
