Excellent HR Advisor role working for a leading charity My client is a leading charity that has a great opportunity for an HR Advisor to join their HR team and support the regional HRBPs. Based in the Essex region and with some travel, this role requires a confident, self starter who is capable of providing sound ER advice and coaching managers as well as supporting the HRBPs on strategic projects. Duties and key responsibilities Business and workforce planning ? Contribute to the development and delivery of the annual operating plan for the Area(s), ensuring there is alignment to the strategy and People Plan, the Regional/country plan, cross- plans, OD and engagement frameworks, values and behaviours, and policies and practices. ? Contribute to the development and delivery of the annual people plans for their defined Area(s), ensuring there is alignment to the strategy, plans and frameworks. ? Influence the development and implementation of systems and methods for monitoring performance and progress against the people plans. ? Provide, analyse and interpret regular and relevant people data to inform operational and strategic decision making and activities within the Area(s) ? Contribute to the development and delivery of the business plan and associated HRBP team plan. Change ? Contribute to and provide HR advice on area/locality/team initiatives and business development, ensuring the right connections and links are made across the organisation at the right time. ? Be the lead for the implementation of organisational projects within the area(s)/team(s), ensuring they are rolled out and embedded locally. ? Through coaching and advising, ensure all change in the area(s)/team is planned and implemented in line with policies and procedures and values and behaviours. ? Ensure change projects are evaluated and learning fed back into the organisation. ? Coach operational managers in the recruitment, selection and induction of employees as required. Employee Relations ? Provide day-to-day support and advice to line managers and employees on HR related issues at a local level whilst maintaining organisational consistency and integrity of organisation policy. ? With specialist support from the ER team, provide consistent, up-to-date and expert ER advice and coaching on the ER caseload for the area(s)/team(s) ensuring and enabling all cases to be handled in-line with principles, policies and procedures. ? Work in partnership with the local Service Improvement team to identify areas for service improvement and shape the required interventions, advising on the relevant HR policies and processes. ? Ensure all ER case documentation is up-to-date, accurate and stored in line with our knowledge management systems. ? Assist with the preparation of the organisation's position in employment tribunal and other external dispute resolution procedures, including writing statements and preparing bundles of documents. ? Work in partnership with the HR Administrator, developing and supporting their personal and career development to enable the provision of a seamless service to key colleagues. ? Contribute to the development and implementation of POD policy, procedures and written guidance for managers and employees as required. Organisational development and engagement ? Contribute to the development and delivery of interventions which enable and embed a culture of performance management, including succession planning, talent management, employee engagement and communications, organisational effectiveness and change and employment relations. ? Directly and in partnership with key colleagues, influence the thinking and activities of the AMT and functional teams to help shape and bring about the required culture, such as helping to embed the leadership and management development programmes and the engagement agenda. ? With the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager ensure that all tools and channels that help drive engagement are utilised across the area(s)/team(s). ? Champion equality and inclusion in all the organisation's work specifically help ensure the principles of equality and inclusion are understood and applied in the planning, delivery and review of all activity within the area(s)/team(s). ? Pro-actively monitor and address engagement, alignment and ER issues by bringing key stakeholders together to assess cause and effect, implementing and/or supporting the implementation of appropriate interventions to address these ensuring connection and alignment with team wide initiatives and programmes. ? Contribute to the design and delivery of learning interventions to managers on a range of HR related subjects.
