PROJECT ENGINEERING MANAGER ROBOTICS OPERATIONS PRECISON ENGINEERING/AUTOMOTIVE/AREOSPACE HIGH VOLUME MECHANICAL PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE HALIFAX/LEEDS £40,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience. My client manufactures and specialises in the design and prototyping of high specification precision components, predominantly using Robotics. Having 2 large production sites based in West Yorkshire, they pride themselves on understanding and satisfy their customers' needs fully, understanding their customers' products and continue to provide optimum solutions and new product technology. An example of the fast moving production of some the technical components my clients produces could be 1 every 47 seconds Amazing technology. The Role As Project Manager you will play a key role in the aquisisation of new business projects. (£6 MILLION PLUS) Some of the investments projects will need your full coordination with all teams involved. Quote for the projects, Implementing any new machines involved in the projects, trail rates, liaise with the buyers for all components and support as the resource coordinator/planner, assign the correct engineers, recording all processes, plan the production, times, create packaging, logistics and launch dates for clients for products. As the main resource for the key projects, the role involves building key relationships and managing the engineering projects through to completion. Monitoring and reporting the status of each key project, to internal teams and engineers. Liaising with key customers and suppliers is key throughout the process. Managing the quotation activity, new product induction and all the clients designated project teams. Generate all timing plans for projects. Responsible for ensuring compliance through effective month and annual budget reporting. Communicate project statuses with customers and internal service teams, compiling reports for Directors and effective management strategies. Liaise with buyers for all components purchasing – understanding the project requirements, budgets and reactive resolution of any resource issues. This project engineering manager role is coordinating and managing the full production processes for each key client and any production of client prototypes. Additional Smaller Projects - (£200,000 PLUS) Additional Project operational processes for the smaller projects may include working closely with one specific assigned engineer evaluating implementing – Milling machines, Assembly machines, Adhesives, Pressure t testing, production, packaging & logistics to customer. About you Must have a technical mechnaicvl engineering degree and a qualification/training in Project Management. Ideally Prince 2. Exposure delivering new product introduction programmes. Ideally worked with an International customer base and has an interest in overseas markets. Candidate must be able to influence results without having a direct line management authority, credibility, commitment to continuous improvement and can demonstrate strong leadership skills. Offering a salary in the region of £40.000 - £50,000 dependant on experience & industry exposure.
