Business Development Manager – Field / Office / Home Based – 2 Vacancies >£40k basic (£65k OTE) plus car, pension, insurances Full time, permanent post with full autonomy and a UK wide territory (and international opportunity) Salary Negotiable for the right person/experience – up to £40k basic plus Commission (OTE £65k in first year, uncapped thereafter), Company Car, Contributory Pension other insurances/benefits package. Base Group are a leading business in its field; manufacturing and distributing composite materials and producing high quality precision components from a variety of tooling boards for body tooling, patterns, testing and prototypes, predominantly for the Formula 1, Automotive and Aerospace industries. Our main product range includes: o Epoxy Pattern & Tooling Materials o Polyurethane Styling, Model & Tooling Materials o Near Net Shape Casting o Ancillary Products including Surface Coatings & Release Agents Due to ever changing market conditions and our investment into R&D and new product development, we are now seeking to enter our next phase of growth which will see us exploit new markets but develop and mature some of our existing markets too. As part of our ongoing growth plan, we are seeking to broaden our Commercial Team through the appointment of two experienced Business Development Managers. This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious commercial professionals to truly contribute to the growth and success of the business. Two separate roles / people with a distinctly different ‘sell’: Aerospace / Automotive / Marine ESSENTIAL you are experienced selling into these industries and the complexities of their buying processes Experience of tendering & procurement processes within the supply chain Knowledge of composites advantageous Foundry / Industrial Manufacturing ESSENTIAL you are experienced selling into these industries Knowledge of Tooling or casting advantageous In short, we want you to go out and sell / bring in new business . Proactively identify and develop new business in Epoxy / PU / Composite Tooling. Capture new business opportunities and escalate to the Business Development Director if appropriate. The successful candidates for these roles MUST have the following: Proven and consistent track record of target achievement in sales in one of the relevant industry sets (as above) Experience of new business wins and account management in technical, engineered products. Demonstrable achievement of growth in new market sectors would be advantageous. Demonstrate the aptitude to be able to understand the application of the product and the engineering process that makes the product and / or the technical capabilities available within the organisation to offer a solution sell. Be hands on and have the aptitude to technically demonstrate products and their capabilities. This role is field based but with a requirement to be in the office in the Midlands once a week / fortnight, therefore you must be prepared to travel the UK extensively, with the possibility of some international travel in the future.
