Mechatronics Engineer – Instruments – Cambridgeshire, UK A fast-growing, dynamic medical devices firm based in Cambridge are looking to expand their R&D division by bringing on board an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to work on surgical robotics and other instrumentation technologies and applications. This exciting new role will give the Senior Mechatronics Engineer an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge products at the forefront of the medical devices sector alongside some of the brightest minds. The product is still in its infancy and as this is a relatively small team you will need to take a hands on approach to the project and to the design and development of complex electo-mechanical systems alongside whilst also mentoring the next generation of engineers. Due to the nature of the company you will always have something new on the horizon and will even be given time to work on your own projects and ideas. To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or other related subjects and possess a thorough understanding of medical devices design and standards. Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and additional knowledge with regard to manufacturing and assembly processes and ISO13485 would be highly advantageous.
