This is a newly created role for a Junior Level IS/Network Administrator to join an extremely successful, globally focused, Scottish company who have been market leaders in their sector for over 100 years. The key focus of the role will be supporting over 50 servers/1200 workstations across multiple locations and t he position will involve working on a range of interesting and technically challenging projects as well as the running and maintenance of the network and infrastructure. You will also be required to p erform day to day administration of the company’s network and infrastructure, monitor systems and identify performance issues, assist with the maintenance and support of the IT infrastructure, ensure all security, backup, restore and disaster recovery processes are followed and provide 2 nd line support to IT service desk as and when required Interested candidates should have good commercial experience working with Microsoft based Infrastructure technologies to include:- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy experience Good knowledge of TCP/IP Windows server 2008 R2/2012/2012R2 Microsoft Exchange administration Windows desktop OS support Win7/8/8.1/10 Hyper-V experience Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity processes Knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies Exposure to firewalls e.g. checkpoint, ISA, TMG, Cisco etc. Any additional experience of any of the following technologies would be beneficial but not essential:- SCCM Minimum 2 years’ experience within similar role type Enterprise backup software experience e.g. Backup Exec, CommVault Office 365 administration Azure AD Microsoft Intune and MDM SIP/VOIP/PBX telephony experience Working knowledge of security standards e.g. ISO 27001, ITIL Familiarity with SSH, SFTP, FTP Scripting language experience – preferably PowerShell SAN experience This is an amazing opportunity for a talented and ambitious IT Professional to join an organisation who will provide them with a huge amount of autonomy, support and personal development opportunities.
