Restaurant Manager Required Looking for the next step in your career? An amazing opportunity has arisen for a talented Restaurant Manager with lots of experience to join an established and popular hotel in Penarth. Our hotel is a small boutique hotel set on the sea front in Penarth with 12 bedrooms, a spa and a 70 seater restaurant.We are promoting weddings and events as well as our fine dining offer. The role: You will be managing all aspects of the running of the Restaurant and Bar including: · Coordinate the operation of the restaurant and bar during scheduled shifts · Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff · Respond to customer queries and complaints · Take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant and bar · Analyse and plan restaurant and bar sales levels and profitability · Organise marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes · Meet and greet customers, organise table reservations and offer advice about menu and wine choices; · Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety · Check stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash. · Hold regular weekly communication meetings to update staff on events booked and the detail of the required service. · Attend the weekly function sheet and HOD meeting. Pass on all the required information to the restaurant and bar team. · Fulfil the role of duty manager when required to do so on the management rota. · Ensure you apply and manage all the control systems required in the restaurant and bar operation. · To follow and regularly update as required the opening and closing procedures for the restaurant and bar. Ideal candidate: · Minimum 2 years experience as a Restaurant Manager · Will demonstrate total commitment in relation to the job role, working hours must be flexible, revolving around the requirements of the business · Are passionate about driving your team to success using effective communication This job was originally posted as
