Software Engineer (Build & Release): WPR now have this Build & Release Software Engineer role available with our client in Belfast. If you have previous Build & Release experience or have worked as a Software Configuration Engineer this could be the perfect next step in your career and the opportunity to join a company who are already firmly established in the local IT sector and have further plans for growth. Their specialist software platform connects and integrates various aspects of the healthcare sector and is extensively used by medical professionals on a daily basis. This SOA platform is developed using the best technologies and tools across the .NET and Java technology stacks. If you come from a previous software development background and have had previous responsibilities for building, shipping and maintaining software we would like to hear from you. Your Responsibilities: You will join an experienced team who are responsible for maintaining and improving their configuration management and software release too chain. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Implement and support automated build and release systems in an SaaS environment. Write code and scripts to enhance the Build/Release process. Suggest new automation and monitoring improvements for the Continuous Integration and Delivery deployment processes. Set up, maintain and own build service machines in dev, test and production environments. Resolve source control, build and deployment issues. Your Experience: To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following criteria: BSc Computer Science or related third level subject. Previous software development experience with Java or C#. Experience of managing build processes in and Agile/Lean environment. Scripting experience with Ruby, Python, Powershell. Experience with any of the following tools would be beneficial; Maven, Ivy, NuGet, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, MyCity, Git, Subversion. Windows or Linux systems admin experience with knowledge of virtualization technologies would also be helpful in the role. Rewards: Depending on experience and interview performance the salary for this role is up to £40,000 with an attractive benefits packages and excellent opportunities for career progression.
