Contracts Manager Job Role: Our client, a world leader in the manufacture and supply of highly complex communication equipment, currently has a very exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager. As a world leader in their industry the company typically export to 80 countries a year, with equipment and systems installed in over 150 countries. This will be a senior role within the business, with you having overall responsibility for contractual matters for civil and defence contracts, with a direct report to the Operations Director. Key Responsibilities: Responsibility for the drafting and negotiating of all contractual matters to include sales contracts, sub-contracts, service agreements and licensing agreements on an international stage. Responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual and legal corporate governance and policy. Provide contract management support and expertise across the business, with advice on terms and conditions, confidentiality and collaboration. Work closely with the Bids & Proposal and Sales Team by reviewing tendors and quotes. Develop contractual risk review and support approvals process through the bid and programme lifecycle. Monitor contracts and subcontracts, service agreements and licenses to ensure all parties adhere to conditions. As part of an Internationally operating company this role will entail international travel. Person Specification/Previous Experience: This role would suit a senior commercial officer looking for a step into Contract Management, or a Contracts Manager with relevant experience. Previous experience of dealing with international contract management and the legal contractual element that this brings with it is essential. Formal legal/contractual qualification, or qualified by experience. Good understanding of contractual law and terms & conditions used by MOD and UK government. UK/US export regulations awareness. Must be flexible and adaptable, with international travel being required for this positon.
