We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, particularly in the written form, and is keen to begin a career as a Bid Assistant working within an experienced Bid team. The successful candidate will perform a key role, directly contributing to the ongoing commercial success of the business. Main purpose of the job The role of the Bid Assistant is to facilitate the efficient administration of bids, bid reviews and associated bid documentation and to work closely with all relevant teams to design look and feel concepts for documents and tender responses that are individually tailored to different customer requirements and essentially are capable of winning Duties Assist with production of final bid documents and arrangements to supply these documents to the customer within defined tender deadlines Organise and coordinate communication, correspondence and documentation relevant to each individual bid and ensure information is communicated to the relevant team/individual working to tight timescales To support the bid and proposal team in the production of customer facing documentation that is consistently of the highest quality and impact; Ensure bid and proposal documentation is formatted, collated and presented in a professional manner; Individually tailor proposals to different client requirements; Maintain status of generic proposals and work with the Bid Team to ensure they are reviewed, revised and reapproved as necessary; Undertake other administrative tasks as required. Provide cover for Bid Team Duties as required. Administration (advertising, maintaining a good standard of data entry of relevant candidate information on the company database, etc.); General day-to-day office admin support; Special Features of this position: As bids are often issued to tight timelines there will occasionally be proposal preparation activities carrying into the late evening prior to the deadline. This bid role will be supporting this activity and the flexibility to be able to work late outside of core working hours is a key requirement for this role. The profile of our ideal candidate would be a individual with excellent writing skills (possibly an English Language), with a genuine interest in working in a vibrant bid / business development environment.
