Geography Teacher - WALTHAM FOREST An oversubscribed Secondary school situated in the Borough of Waltham Forest is seeking to appoint a Geography Teacher on a long term supply basis, a position that begins as soon as possible and runs until July 2017, the end of the academic year. This is a full time position and includes delivering the Geography curriculum to Key Stage 3 and 4. Are you in the right teaching position? Are you seeking a new, exciting Geography teaching opportunity with immediate effect, looking to work in a successful Secondary school? These are exciting times at this school and it's one that is immensely proud of what's been achieved, including creating a harmonious learning environment as well as a consistent approach in terms of student behaviour. Staff and parents work closely together as the school believes this to be the best way to achieve everything that is aimed for, an approach that works tremendously well. This is an amazingly diverse school where more than 50 languages are spoken and the Headteacher takes great pride in this inclusive ethos that has resulted in creating happy and effective learners. Strong partnerships are forged with local schools and colleges and they also reach out to immerse themselves within the community. The Headteacher's vision is for the school to nurture well rounded young adults who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and confidence to play a positive and productive part in the 21st century. The school is easily accessible via a plethora of local bus routes and is a 2 minute walk away from a London Undergound station. The Headteacher has been impressed at how the school's new facilities 'are bringing to life even greater opportunities' for the students. This truly is an outstanding teaching opportunity for a committed and dedicated teacher. Applicants will need to hold QTS or be suitably qualified to be able to teach in schools in the UK as well as possessing effective classroom management strategies.
