NSL manages outsourced services in highly regulated environments used by the public and has over 70 clients (including Transport for London, DVLA, Westminster City Council and many NHS Trusts) and employ 5,200 people to fulfil services for these contracts. Success has led NSL to create three specialist sectors dedicated to core markets; Central Government, Local Government and Health. Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting for a Pound Manager to be based in Hull. The purpose of this role is to manage the vehicle pound and payment centre and ensure security of all assets and vehicles in the company’s care. You will be responsible for the management of Clamp and Removal Drivers, Despatch Centre Supervisors/ Cashiers. Key elements of the role: To ensure the security of the Pound by checking all fencing and entry and exits are functional and CCTV Monitoring is fully functional To ensure all vehicles are correctly accepted into the Pound and that all necessary documentation is completed To ensure DCS is updated with details of all vehicles brought into the Pound and vehicles which are released To ensure that all daily operational checks are carried out at the start of the enforcement operation To monitor the level of staff absence and sickness, providing recommendations and corrective action where appropriate To ensure the highest standards of customer service and income receipting function to the highest standards of customer service and accountability, in accordance with the companies operating and security procedures To ensure daily briefing is carried out with all drivers to alert and inform them of any special requirement or event which may affect their work To ensure all drivers and OBPA remain within the Working Time Directive To ensure all vehicles are VOSA compliant To arrange and manage the servicing and maintenance schedules for the trucks People Management of the team in the Vehicle Pound in all aspects following companies policies and procedures including audits To be able to produce in dept analysis reports for area of responsibility To attend client meetings and be able to discuss any Pound related issues direct Delivery of all contractual requirements to the satisfaction of NSL and the client NSL is a fast moving Group which requires a high calibre individual who thrives with the challenges and fun that this environment brings. The ideal candidate: Previous experience of managing in a Vehicle Operation Excellent customer service skills Knowledge of Road Traffic Regulation Act 2004 preferable VOSA Legislation/ Requirements Tachograph Record Keeping and Infringements Fleet Audit Experience You will be required to work 42.5 ours per week, Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays). Shifts vary from 08:00 – 18:00. Flexibility for the role is essential.
