Demob Job Reference: J2683 Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location: South West - Bristol, Exeter Salary: Circa £28K Benefits Start Date: Immediate Introduction: Our client is a leading combustion boiler manufacturer operating worldwide within the marine, healthcare and industrial markets. They are now recruiting for an electrically biased Field Service Engineer to join their team in the South West. The ideal candidate will live in the Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Taunton, Exeter or surrounding areas and will be required to attend customer sites and carry out a variety of service, installation, maintenance and repair tasks. The successful candidate must have a strong electrical engineering background with demonstrable working experience within electrical maintenance, ideally with marine / combustion / boiler experience. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. Please note candidates must be flexible in their approach to travel and overnight stays away from home. This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force (RAF) and has previously worked within a similar role i.e. Ground Support, Marine Engineer or Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME). Responsibilities: - The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, efficient and a high quality reliable service support for the company’s products and to all customers. - Provide Service Support, including commissioning, breakdown attendance, fault finding and repairs, installation and upgrades, testing and training for combustion and energy systems. - Promote the sale of service contracts, new products and spare parts. - Carry out work on land based installations primarily within home region but from time to time as required work in other regions or overseas on both land and marine based installations. - Comply with Health and Safety regulations, company procedures, technical standards and ISO 9001 quality procedures as may be applicable to task. - Provide attendance to out-of-hours or unsocial hours work as may be required from time to time. - Complete daily service attendance report, warranty and commissioning reports and other documentation on a regular basis to Regional Service Manager. Applicant Requirements: - It is essential that the successful candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background with an ONC / BTEC / City & Guilds certificate in electrical engineering or similar. - Strong background within a similar role. - Prepared to undertake necessary training in order to succeed in the role. - Good working knowledge of marine based applications / combustion / boilers. - Please note that this is a field based role so flexibility is required, you will also be covering a wide area so will have to stay overnight possibly a couple of nights per week. - Hold full driving licence.
