LEAD .NET DEVELOPER - C#, ASP.NET, MICROSOFT SQL SERVER - CITY OF LONDON - PERM - £52,000 - £58,000 PER ANNUM PLUS BONUS AND BENEFITS The Company A Lead .Net Developer is required by a Financial Services, based in the City of London. The company are currently undergoing some major changes and they are seeking an experienced candidate to come on board to contribute to these changes. The Role You will be responsible for analysis, design, development, defect resolution and support of a new Microsoft.NET-based online claims portal and EPiServer-based internet and intranet sites. You will also provide 2nd and 3rd level support for key web based business applications. Responsibilities Work with the Application Development and Release Manager to ensure business requirements are defined and agreed, co-ordinating requests for enhancements and developments for IT controlled applications Deliver development and enhancement activities in support of the business raised change requests and releases for applications. Solution architecture and design. Quality Assurance, including quality planning and controls for both the company and suppliers. Advice and guidance to the company's users in support of their application requirements. Follow IT Release Management process and control all IT application releases to the environment including: oReviewing release planning oDiscovery, documentation, resolution and escalation of release dependencies, risks and issues oAdherence to IT Change Management process and controls oFormal communications to management and stakeholders oCoordination of Environment and Configuration Management oCoordination of release delivery, including management of suppliers delivering IT changes and releases to the environment oCoordinate release approval and closure Experience Required Microsoft .NET using C# (required) ASP .NET (including Web Forms and MVC 3.0) (required) Content Management Systems ( required - EPiServer preferred) Entity Framework Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (including Reporting and Integration Services) (required) JavaScript, Bootstrap (required) Web Services Integration (required) Web Accessibility and Usability (required) Visual Studio 2012/13 (required) XML, XPath and XSLT (desirable) HTML 5.0, CSS 3.0 (desirable) User Experience Design (desirable) Team Foundation Server (desirable) ITIL experience and qualifications (desirable) Demonstrate experience of leading web development and support teams Strong experience developing and implementing web-based and cross-platform solutions Full software development lifecycle experience using structured and agile approaches Solution design and architecture Experience of structured testing and quality assurance approaches Experienced in working with Unit Test scripts, mocking frameworks and dependency injection Experience of Object Oriented design principles, design patterns and UML Benefits for this position include:- Pension Bonus of up to 15% - performance related 26 day annual leave plus bank holidays Private medical cover Season ticket loan Life Assurance Health Insurance If you are interested in this position, please apply now for immediate consideration.
