Our client, having recently taken over and transformed the bar/ restaurant are looking for a general manager to help create a lifestyle bar, tapas and dining venue in the affluent village of Arkworth, Wakefield. The venture will become an aspiration suburban bar with large function room with future developments ongoing. This is a great chance to take this venue from its rebirth and focus it on a premium offering. There is lots of opportunity for input and ideas in the concept offer from deciding the cocktail range to agreeing the correct food offering to match the bars aspiration goals The winning general manager must have : A great hosting personality to be the front of the concept. The ability to live the concept and be its ambassador. Passion for the premium market. Have experience and ideas in driving the function room trade. Be able to keep ahead of the trend in style, music and social media. Be able to demonstrate an ability to locally market the brand. Knowledge of which levers to pull to create great profit. Proven ability to create a fun loving and tip hungry team of staff. A working knowledge of cocktails and premium drinks offerings. Organisational skills to keep several plates spinning at the same time. Experience as a GM or aspiring Deputy in premium outlets. As the position is live off, the ideal candidate will be able to commute to the site within 20 minutes. The position is immediate and the aim is to get the concept up and running for Mid November latest.
