This is an exciting new role and will report directly to the VPHR, playing a critical role in the company's future development through driving the end to end talent strategy from acquisition, through development & talent management. The Talent Director will define, create, support and engage the wider business in a consistent approach to talent attraction, management and development in order to ensure that there is the right mix of talented people, at the right time and in the right place to support organisational performance and success. You will hold close relationships with HRDs to ensure the Talent Strategy, processes & tools are effectively meeting business needs and that they align with the corporate HR team in USA in order to share and leverage best practice and resources. Detailed Job Description Working closely with HRD's to ensure a robust understanding of the organisational culture and the talent requirements of the business Maintain holistic view of organisational development requirements, skills and behaviours needed to support future strategy and develop sourcing and development strategies to meet needs Work closely with other HR COE's (Comp&Bens, Communications and Operations) to ensure that activity is aligned with the talent agenda Leadership of a direct recruitment team that provide a best in class recruitment service to the business Continuous development of the talent attraction methodologies, processes and tools, ensuring that they deliver against business priorities Lead activity for the acquisition of entry level “future talent” to the business Define and lead the approach and on-going talent management processes for the business to build the bench strength needed to meet current and future business needs Accountability for delivering robust talent pipeline and succession processes Leading a Learning & Development team to deliver solutions and expert consultancy for the business Manage design and delivery of learning frameworks (e.g. PDP, functional) - management training and tools, and provide expert input into evolution of Performance Management culture ELT & senior HiPo development framework– provide coaching, assessment & individual level development Ensure all development activities help to cultivate the culture. e.g. mentoring, face to face training, knowledge sharing Candidate's Profile Candidates should come from a fast paced matrixed environment where customer service and innovation are at the heart of the business. With a generalist, or Talent focused background, all candidates should be able to demonstrate extensive subject matter expertise on all aspects of the talent and L&D agenda & be able to fully appreciate the strategic aims of an overarching Talent Agenda from acquisition, development & management. Making key stakeholder relationships will be key to your ability to deliver in this role and so applicants must be able to demonstrate where they have influenced the senior leadership team and where they have been part of senior level discussions. You will need to have experience of managing teams and to have been accountable for the full talent agenda – demonstrating the ability to lead talent acquisition, through to succession planning and senior leadership coaching.
