Senior Engineering Training Manager South East London Salary c£60,000 plus excellent benefits Working under the instruction of a leading provider of passenger transport services, I am seeking an experienced Training Manager from within the UK rolling stock engineering industry. As a Senior Training Manager you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the training function, managing Training Managers, Trainers and Assessors to ensure all activities are planned, relevant and compliant to the needs of the business. Your areas of responsibility will include technical training, depot operations and engineering apprenticeships, each of which is headed up by a Training Manager. In this position you will create a cohesive and effective team, liaising with other Senior Managers within the business to develop a programme that allows for changing requirements as the engineering and technical teams continue to grow. You will also be responsible for developing a suite of multi-media training programmes, investigating and recommending new technologies that facilitate a culture of continued learning and development. This is a senior role and as such you will need experience of managing Trainers. In addition, you will need a comprehensive understanding of rolling stock maintenance regimes and hold a relevant qualification in training and assessing. This is a key appointment for my client and they will be looking for advanced communication skills and the appetite to lead a team through significant change.
