Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer (Night Shifts) Commutable from Warrington, Manchester, Bolton, Northwich, Wigan, St Helens, Stockport 4 on 4 off Nights £38,000 including shift allowance Perpetual Partnerships are a North West based recruitment consultancy part of a larger group of engineering companies, with a significant track record of supporting the key goals of organisations within the engineering community. Overview We are recruiting for a market leading company who are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Maintenance Engineer for their site. For this role you will need to have experience of working within food industry environment or other FMCG type industry. The Role Sitting within the Engineering team you will be responsible for all aspects of breakdowns across the site. You will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets and ensuring the machines are kept running to peak performance within the manufacturing unit. Good communication is key across the whole plant. You must be able to work in a pressured environment and show that you have a great attitude, are enthusiastic and passionate above everything else Qualifications and Skills ONC/HNC/ City and Guilds and Apprenticeship trained level with 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations Qualification. Come from an FMCG/technical/process environment as multi skilled maintenance engineer . Comprehensive electrical engineering background and experience of operating in a high volume food manufacturing environment as part of a multi-disciplined team in a changing environment where innovation and a continuous improvement culture is key. Confident use of a PC and PLC Systems Provide effective and efficient breakdown cover during plant/machinery stoppages/downtime Ensure targets are met on safety, quality, output, efficiency, energy and waste. Follow up recommendations and requests concerning machinery/plant from production, product development and quality control departments. Ensure the plant is operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner, and in compliance with all current legislative requirements. Properly understand operation of all equipment and machinery used on-site. Enthusiastic, proactive 'can do' attitude, hungry to learn Experience working in an extremely high pressured environment You must be committed and dedicated with a flexible approach to working additional hours in line with operational demands. The successful candidate must have the ability to work, safely, hygienically and independently, using own initiative and have the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and a flexible and open minded approach.
