Here at Bidvest Foodservice, we stock 1000s of lines across all categories and temperature bands and we pride ourselves on our expert sourcing to ensure that we only offer quality products, including known and own brands At Bidvest Foodservice, we recognise that the quality of our Transport teams is instrumental to our success and we’re now looking to recruit an experienced and talented Transport Manager to join our team at the Lee Mill depot Our Transport Manager needs to be able to recruit, induct, train, mentor and engage their teams, to inspire them to be the best they can be As the Transport Manager, your role will involve: You will manage the day to day operations and performance of the Transport Department ensuring we provide the expected levels of service to internal and external customers within our budget. In doing so you will: • Ensure the depot fleet is compliant with all relevant legislation • Ensure all goods are delivered to designated delivery points within their set timescale • Manage the effective work of each team within the Transport Department • Maintain responsibility for the department budget and costs • Monitor and continually improve our customer service standards • Manage and maintain 50 commercial vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all documentation is up to date and conforms to all relevant legislations • Manage and maintain all documentation with relation to tachographs and driver hours What do we need to see from our Transport Manager? • Strong people management & communication skills • The ability to communicate and develop relationships with other departments • CPC holder • Experience in a busy food-distribution environment • Excellent IT skills • A flexible approach to your work load So what benefits are we offering our employees? • Company pension • Highly competitive salary • 25 days holiday p.a. • Company healthcare cash plan • Childcare vouchers • Personal accident scheme • An excellent range of employee discounts APPLY NOW You will receive an email shortly in regards to your application for our Transport Manager role.
