WHAT YOU DO MATTERS… You will be responsible for: Maintaining best practices in project delivery, particularly in an Agile Working environment Managing and supporting the Project Managers and Scrum Masters community Taking ownership of the capacity planning for Projects Resource What will you do as a Delivery Practice Manager? Accountable for capacity planning of project and scrum resource Line management responsibility of Project Managers and Scrum Masters within the IT Delivery function Providing coaching, career planning and advice to project managers and scrum masters Planning and executing the best practices of delivery in an agile environment Working with the Delivery team to ensure best practices are being adhered to Coaching the teams through the understanding of the new / adjusted practices introduced into the typical Project Lifecycle Working to continually improve the RI method of project and programme delivery Exerting influence within the team to align to the new ways of working WE KNOW WHAT WE’RE DOING… and we know exactly what experience we’re looking for Experience Required: Background in Retail IT or related FMCG business environment Background in delivering the full lifecycle of Projects / Programmes in both an Agile and Waterfall environment Have a strong, well demonstrated waterfall background, prior to working more recently in an Agile environment Have an appreciation and objective understanding of both Waterfall and Agile Delivery methods Ability to demonstrate stakeholder management and effective communication skills Familiar with the demands of working in a fast paced environment and the ambiguity and change this brings Ability to demonstrate experience in managing within a cross functional / matrix driven environment Proven excellence in people management and coaching Experience in resource planning Demonstrate examples of implementing, driving, enhancing and continually improving best practices Proven track record as a Project Manager / Programme Manager / Delivery Manager Proven presentation and negotiation skills Demonstrable verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of and experience of applying process improvement techniques Preferred: Waterfall and Agile Methodology experience Familiarity of working in fast paced retail business or highly transactional organization This job was originally posted as
