We have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Designer to join our growing eCommerce team which is based in Sheffield. This role allows a great deal of autonomy and the successful person will be able to put their own slant on things, running essentially their own desk and has the freedom to introduce fresh and exciting ideas. This role can have a global impact as we tend to pilot things in Europe and if they do well look at them across the rest of the business. The EMEA Digital Designer will be part of a small but influential and centrally managed team, and provide a key role during the design process in a variety of projects. They will be able to take ownership of a variety of projects from standard banner creative to creating entirely new areas of the site with distinct looks and feels, as well as ensuring a consistency in creative and brand across our EMEA website portfolio. Day to day you will be required to support the merchandising team with creative requests to fulfil run-rate activity. It'll be your responsibility to research, devise and develop concepts based on the design brief. To support these you'll prepare material including working drawings, storyboards and layouts. You will have extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Whether you've worked for a digital creative agency or pursued your passion for digital within your education, you'll have an impressive portfolio to showcase your skills. Your passion is what drives you to discover the latest technical innovations, and most importantly you're able to break through the jargon and clearly explain these exciting new developments to your colleagues. Main Responsibilities: Create unique, engaging, creative and commercially focused e-commerce designs. Retouch and colour correct product images for web. Manage digital images for and social channels. Design and create email marketing templates using Marketo. Build and maintain visual/brand identity ensuring brand is consistent across all communications. Work cohesively with other departments (i.e., marketing, merchandising, product) to execute projects; keeping to deadlines. Advocate best practices and be proactive in proposing improvements in design, function and features as well as sharing knowledge, research and experience. Work closely with development teams to improve and create components in our Adobe CMS. Skills and Experience: Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Good communication skills. Understanding of HTML and CSS. Confidence to work independently. Attention to detail and an eye for design and typography. Create unique design concepts and develop them with a view to a short turn around. Highly organised and adaptable to changing priorities. A real drive for results. Professional attitude and a real pride in quality of work. This role will suit a broad digital design expert, with a strong design background. You will be comfortable with working as part of team and therefore will naturally be hands-on. You will have expertise in designing compelling online e-commerce graphical UX, UI, IA, as well as a fascination with the web and its evolution, and a love of learning new online/ecommerce skills.
