Sales Office Manager, 4 Hotel, West London Up to £30,000 Bonuses and Benefits 4 Star Boutique Hotel is currently seeking an experienced Meeting & Events Sales Manager to join the team. As the Sales Office Manager you will be responsible for the management & leadership of the Conference & Events Department. This will involve developing a motivated team who are focused on conversion, up-selling and excellent communication & customer service at all times. To build and further develop relationships with existing and prospective new clients. Job Description As a Sales Office Manager, you will be responsible for: Manage the sales and booking of events including dealing with enquiries, following up with potential clients, meeting clients, and promoting offers. Plan and implement a sales and marketing strategy for the venue hire function, working to clear targets To work closely with the Director of Sales & General Manager to ensure aligned balanced Hotel objectives and performance Management & leading of the conference & events departments Ensure venue hire events are delivered by ensuring detailed event management schedules are prepared, and staff are briefed on client needs and staffing requirements To complete daily, weekly, months revenue data and reports Ensure venue hire events are delivered by ensuring detailed event management schedules are prepared, and staff are briefed on client needs and staffing requirements. Work with colleagues on the development of the departments web-site as a tool for the marketing and promotion of the venue hire business and to ensure relevant information is reflected on the hotel's website. Ensure effective systems for bookings and invoicing are in place, reviewing and updating business processes as necessary Analyse hire figures, interpret trends and forecast future hire volumes in order to maximise profits Assist in the preparations of financial budgets Excellent communication to ensure the customer events are delivered to exceed client expectations and to build repeat business Training and development of staff within the team Complete show rounds for new and existing clients Be able to think on your feet in order to solve problems Implement and manage an effective key account strategy within the sectors important to the hotel Manage the events booking/management system and record corporate, individual and wedding contact details in the data management system. Support the Hotel commercial team to balance a Corporate and Leisure mix as defined by the hotel's strategy The Ideal candidate will be: An experienced Meeting & Events Sales Office Manager with at least two/three years working in a hotel environment Proven track record in Meeting & Events & managing an office with a good understanding of data analysis The ability to create a hungry, pro-active sales environment with the appropriate direction, leadership and motivation is a must Experienced in strategy planning and forward thinking Be able to train, motivate and lead a small team Good verbal & written communication is essential You will need to have great planning and organisation skills; looking ahead and influencing budget and properties 3 and 5 year plans by setting demanding but realistic targets and methods of achieving them. Experience working towards targets Focus on attention to detail Commercially aware of market trends Able to work closely with the hotels brand teams to ensure business strategies are consistent & aligned to driving financial performance Friendly and upbeat personality Able to produce monthly sales reports of activities, key opportunities, threats and planned actions. The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record in the hotel environment.
