What we are looking for: We are looking for a Development Manager to manage, plan, co-ordinate and deliver IT solutions, whilst liaising with various business units to ensure successful outcomes. You will have a good appreciation of continuous integration frameworks and will be expected to contribute and define our technical strategy. You will ensure the agreed policies, processes, frameworks and standards are monitored and report compliance with internal standards. Liaison and collaboration with other Delivery Managers is essential to ensure consistency of approach, and maintenance of a cohesive delivery function. You will have line management for a team of up to 10 Analyst Programmers including Trainee Analyst Programmers and you will be expected to collaborate with other IT delivery areas on a project basis. Essential Skills and Experience: The successful candidate will be an experienced Development Manager with a desire to drive continuous improvement through innovation and staff motivation. You will have a good understanding of the how strategic direction relates to systems delivery, projects and initiatives within a corporate plan/departmental plan. An in depth knowledge of an agile software development lifecycle and associated operational procedures is also required.
