HR MANAGER The Company Newly Weds Foods is a BRC accredited leading specialist manufacturer of coatings, seasonings and flavourings for the food industry supplying major manufacturers throughout the world. The Role We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team, the position will be based at our Ossett plant. This is a generalist HR Manager role working within a fast-paced Food Manufacturing environment.The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a passion for and understanding of Manufacturing.With an open door policy they will be responsible for every aspect of the HR function at our Ossett Plant. Main Function Working in partnership with our Banbury HR Manager, taking responsibility for, setting and implementing the strategy and goals for the HR function across UK and Europe whilst taking into account and interpreting business needs and corporate requirements.To provide expert advice at all levels on all employment related issues and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice at all times. Prime Responsibilities · Ensuring that the daily Human Resources function provides best practice support at all levels · Continually develop and implement practices that ensure the Company is or becomes an ‘employer of choice’ · Provide continuous expert advice and support to all areas of the business in relation to the on-going management of employees including; performance management, disciplinary and grievance, absence procedures etc · Show presence on the factory floor · Provide advice and action plans on the implementation of organisational re-structuring when required · Manage and maintain HR budget controls working closely with the finance department · Managing recruitment campaigns and implementing new and cost effective methods of recruitment · Ensuring that all areas of the organisation maintain and deliver the objective setting and appraisal process · Work proactively pushing and driving HR strategies forward · Assist in the management of the Health & Safety · Work with all staff and line managers to develop robust training programmes, ensure that staff receive the correct training in a timely and cost effective manner and that development programmes are designed and developed to continually enhance the skills of the staff · Continuously develop induction programmes to ensure all new staff receive comprehensive information and assistance during their initial months of employment and beyond · Provide monthly reports for internal management meetings and monthly corporate reports. · To maintain excellent working relationships and lead negotiations with trade union officials. Person Specification · CIPD Qualified · TUPE knowledge essential · PC Literate ideally with knowledge of Carval · Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR · Problem Solving and Team Work · Excellent interpersonal skills · People person with a can do attitude · Experience of working with a recognised trade union essential Other Salary negotiable depending on experience, 6% pension, Health care cash plan, discretionary annual bonus This job was originally posted as
