Network Engineer, Cisco, firewalls This is a great opportunity for an experienced, Cisco focused Network Engineer with a broad range of skills across routing, switching and firewalls, to join a world-class scientific R&D organisation, with offices across the globe. The Company A joint research venture between two of the world’s best-known brands, the Cisco Network Engineer will be joining a company with a reputation for excellence. With headquarters in the UK, they offer a multicultural environment, employing close to 2000 staff worldwide, with business centres strategically located in the UK, USA, China and Singapore. The Package Along with a competitive basic salary, the Cisco Network Engineer position also attracts a bonus scheme which is targeted at 10% of basic salary, but has been paying out above target over recent years, a pension contribution of 5%, although they’ll match contributions to 10%, private medical cover and life assurance. Holidays are set at 25 days bank holidays and they operate a flexible 37.5 hour week. Their offices are easily commutable from the A34 and there is free parking on site. The Opportunity The Cisco Network Engineer will be part of a global team, working to support and maintain a diverse global WAN/LAN landscape, including Cisco routers, switches and firewalls, network accelerators, VPN connectivity, a managed MPLS network, wireless networking, various monitoring tools and a DMZ environment. As well as day-to-day troubleshooting and configuration work, the Cisco Network Engineer will also get involved in varied and interesting projects relating to the design, support and improvement of the global network infrastructure, spanning offices across the globe. What do I need?
