My client is looking for a Site Manager / Project Manager on a full time basis to manage the build of a multi-million pound development spanning both residential and retail product. My client is a successful private construction, development, maintenance, investment and management group operating throughout England, predominantly in the south west and southern counties. My client operates across a broad range of sectors, including housing, large regeneration schemes, education, health and mixed-use. They have built a reputation as a leading private business working to develop partnerships, including an increasing portfolio of development opportunities for private sale. Key Accountabilities: •Takes responsibility for the, documentation and execution of works on site and manages risks to the success of the project •Manage all sub-contractors •Ensures that works on site are managed safely and in line with CDM expectations •Setup regular meetings, briefings, inductions and safety inspections to ensure works are managed and co-ordinated in line with the design and Construction Directors wishes •Monitors timescales and resources used, by ensuring diaries and records of operatives on site are maintained and absences and omissions reported to the Construction Director •Escalates project issues related to deviation in scope/quality/timing/budget and dependencies with other projects and provides reporting to the project team •Provide input into any Change Control issues •Adherence to internal processes and risk frameworks in any and all tasks particularly in the area of key project deliverables •Comply at all times with Clients policies and procedures, including health & safety, conduct, security, attendance, equality of opportunity and time recording •Project Manage full time on site, as and when projects under construction and through commissioning. Qualifications: •Expected to be educated to A-level standard and ideally educated to degree level or equivalent but not essential, excellent writing/communication skills are very important in this role •Site Management - SMSTS, CSCS card holder and or NSWA certified •Experience working on projects/phases of at least £10M •At least 5 years’ experience working in residential apartment build sector, student accommodation, high end development schemes •Chartered membership of a recognised professional body.
