The Company Our client is a market leader in the Food and Drink sector. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Hygiene Supervisor to work a permanent late Shift. You will work five evenings a week 16:00-01:00. The Role: Your role will be to assist in managing and controlling the hygiene function within the site, ensuring that adequate daily and deep cleaning regimes are documented, planned and carried out to agreed standards and within budgets set Provide stand in cover in the absence of the Hygiene Manager. Provide supervisory support in the management, development and recruitment of hygiene operatives. Assist with setting up robust cleaning procedures, ensuring that they are properly scheduled and correct hygiene / cleaning standards are set and maintained. Working with the Technical team to action hygiene standards across the site, not only those under your direct control. Ensure hygiene staff are coached and trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety, food safety and hygiene standards. Optimising resources and skills within the team. Manage performance and attendance of the team on a daily basis. Physically audit all areas within the function and surrounding areas to ensure hygiene compliance and company standards are observed and maintained. Area start up checks completed, employees adequately trained to perform the tasks and departmental procedures being followed. Monitor that all employees wear required PPE (e.g. ear defenders, high vis jackets, thermal gloves, foot ware etc. Accidents and Near miss incidents / hazards to be reported and follow up / corrective actions closed out. To ensure the safe and effective operation of all machinery with fully competent trained personnel. To make suggestions on ways to improve performance in your area and implement agreed actions. To seek to develop yourself and your team by attending training courses, sign off against Standard Operating procedures and transfer to other work areas to develop business understanding and self. Will carry out other duties as and when required at the request of management. The Person Experience in leading a team/section (good leadership skills). Able to understand and implement Good Manufacturing Practice. Inherent understanding of site hygiene, technical, QA and Health & Safety. Basic computer knowledge (word, excel, e-mail).
