I am looking for an international sales manager with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets across digital, print and events. Reporting to the Sales Director you will ideally be able to work well across different departments such as marketing, editorial and other sales divisions as well as displaying excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of developing and growing relationships with clients and colleagues. Ability to manage a pipeline for the year's products independently as well as great time management skills, you must be a self-starter, able to manage your workload and deliver a consistent performance. You will be creative, enthusiastic and tenacious with a strong knowledge and experience of specialist print/online/event creative selling, and be able to demonstrate strong negotiation and presentation skills. The role will include: 1. Developing predominantly telephone based advertising sales, event sponsorship and a small amount of HCI subscriptions with some face to face contact across all platforms. 2. Working with new and established existing clients. 3. Cross-selling media from the portfolio which includes print, online, annual awards , two conferences and intelligence database 4. There will be opportunities to visit and meet clients face to face, and to attend trade shows and award dinners. 5. Manage a pipeline for the year's products independently and to include other sales staff accounts Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets across: publishing, online and events 2. Push subscriptions for the database when speaking to clients 3. Manage production process by liaising with Production coordinator 4. Work with Editorial to ensure relevant content is included in yearly edit calendar 5. Work closely with the head of production around the two Innovation events Person - Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications: Proven sales track record both account management and new business Understanding of digital media and experience in selling publishing products Experience in selling conference or awards sponsorship packages Excellent communication and client management skills with a track record building long term partnerships with top tier clients Demonstrated ability to consistently close sales and generate revenues Ability to travel to client locations for sales meetings as needed The ability to take initiative, think creatively and identify new revenue opportunities Educated to degree standard This job was originally posted as
